Today, I am writing about Pakistan’s conversion of plot sizes. These calculations will give the reader a good idea of the various local units and the best way to convert these units.

Marla

Marla’s standard land measurement utilizes throughout India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Marlas was standardized under British Raj to be comparable to the size of a square rod, that is 272.25 square meters, 30.25 square yards, or 25.2929 square meters. It means that it was exactly one-half of an acre.

Square Feet

It is a size equal to a square of one foot across each side.

Square Meters

Square Yards

It is a dimension comparable to a square with one yard per side, approximately 0.8361 sq meters. The abbreviation used to describe the square yardage is sq.

Square Inches

It is a measure equivalent to a square with one inch in each direction and is equivalent to 6.452 square centimeters. The abbreviation for it is in2 sq.

Acres

It is a standard measurement of the size of a region considerably employed across the U.S. and the U.K.

One acre is equivalent to 4840 sq yards (4,047 square meters) or 0.405 an acre; the 640 acres are equivalent to one mile.

In Pakistan, the standard measurement of the size of the plot call ‘Marla. Besides marla, plots are measured in terms of Square feet Gaz, Square meters, or Square feet.
